good good. that was the house boat that burned at callville a couple or 3 yeas ago and set out on the north side of the marina past the break water for 3 or 4 months.

The people that owned that houseboat are good friends of mine. The fire apparently started on the back deck. How is still unknown.

Just talked to a friend who was out there over T-Giving and said the post was 2-3 feet from the water, so it's definitely wet now.

One reason that the high water is not so great, is less beaches for sure. No sand over there at 1200 ft. Skiing around the "Mushroom" is fun . . .

At high water there is more sand towards Overton in Kline and Glory, but I just don't like it as much up there.

Ain't that the truth about the water levels. The water needs to go way up for a year, then come down a little and that seems to make for some awesome beaches where there weren't before. Even Sandy Point gets overgrown when the water level goes down.

Actually my favorite beach spot was on the islands south of Mushroom until the water covered it.

I have never cared much for anywhere on the Overton Arm except those areas either, besides some nice scenic spots on that side across from Echo and around the islands. When we houseboated and met with friends who moored theirs at Echo and Overton we would always go to Glory or Kline, but I wouldn't make a special trip to go there from TB.

hows it looking there now?

its to dang cold here and i'm getting the itch to drag the 230 down there for a month or two after the first.

echo would shorten my drive and with the new shore line road, hopefully done by now, would be a easy drive to town for supplies.

Hey Jax, The road between Echo and Overton wasn't 100% new when I went through last, but that's been a year or so. I'd call LMNRA and ask about the lake road coming in from Overton. I hated towing my 18'er through there, a 23'er would be a pain. From Echo south the road it great. I was out there in August and the main ramp was open, YEAH!!!!

And,,, for all you Echo haters ... Ah, never mind

It's funny how a person gets used to a section of lake and "calls it home". I've never been to the Temple arm, it's on my bucket list

thanks for the shout back;
was through there in the spring of "10".

as i remember the road was more or less done to the north park boundary and was under construction there around echo bay turn out.

low water there had kept me from using echo in the last few years. if the main ramp is open now thats a good sign.

the last time i stopped, and was going to launch at the main ramp there, there was an algae bloom going on. you couldn't see any thing in the water. it looked like pee soup.
