Nope, not yet, biggest so far was 51.25# from several years ago.

Though,,, I haven't weighed the one sitting out in the ice chest, yet :D (Waiting to show the kiddies before filleting it.)

Is this it Fishrdan? With a little work it would fit in a ice chest.

12v, sunday morning news reported people hearing a sonic boom, I was a sleep and didn't hear anything. The local paper had a story on it today. Meteor landed in No. California, it was the size of a mini van when it entered earth's atmosphere.

Is this what you saw?

That's a cool picture. It's definitely a daytime meteor like the one I saw. The trajectory in that picture is way off from the viewpoint I had, but it could have been taken from 1000 miles north of where I was. The one I saw was traveling on a northwestern trajectory from my vantage point.

That is One Fine Fish, Dan! Those don't come around often...that's been 4 years so how close have you come to that size since? That may be one in a lifetime but hope not.

also imagine Vegas right under it from my vantage point. :D

I thought the same thing about the meteorite I saw, looked like it hit around Cedar City, but it actually hit around Salt Lake.

Well, I'm a bit bummed as it was only 35#. The length was right at 44", but it had all ready spawned out and it's stomach was empty, pretty skinny. Well, here's a pic of it anyway, water bottle by it for perspective.

LOL, nope! Though, that fish barely fit into my 100qt cooler, nose was touching the lid on one side and tail was almost out the lid on the other side.

Forget about "you're going to need a bigger boat", I'm going to need a bigger cooler :D

Anyone heading out Memorial Weekend? I don't have firm plans for an arrival date, but at this point we're planning on heading out Thursday the 24th am until Tuesday. That weekend is Temple Bar Days.
