Re: Calling All Ontario Members
We are on Bayview cres just past the park . The dock is also wood 4 by 10 foot sections made from 2 by 6 beams and 5'4 top...My father made bases out of dexion shelving he got free from work with a wood base 20 years a go and they are still working great..They lay on top and never get stuck but are a pain to lift in and out ( heavy)....Unfortunately my dock is about 80' and maybe 5' deep at the end, with a nice 8 by 12 pad to lounge on...The sand is nice and hard and basically weed free to the end of the dock....I made A dolly to flip the sections on their side and roll them to shore....or float them out on a canoe since i usually get stuck doing it myself in the spring. They are heavy but i love every moment ....I can clean the beach and cut the grass, trim the hedges and everything else all day long as long as i can stare at the lake...To some it seems awe full but to me its heaven.
