There was a post earlier today about getting some iboat decals. Tashasdaddy directed us to a site that was known to some of ya'll. Someone mentioned their iboats coffee cup and how important it was to have that really good cup of joe.
In my early teens I learned how to drink coffee so I could stay awake at sea on a mid watch. Just something about those easy swells, the rockin motion and no sleep that had me doing anything to stay awake.
Uncle Sams jitter juice did just that for me. Over the years, however I have searched high and low for that special blend that really, really hit the spot.
Yeah, I used to do Barnies at the mall or Starbucks or even good ol' Dunkin Donuts, but somehow, someway I was left wanting.
Today my brew of choice is a 3 to 1 mix of Yuban Dark Roast and Pilon. Pilon is a Cuban coffee that you may not find other than around the Cuban community. Luckily, I have that here near Tampa. Eight tablespoons and one quart of water gives me the blend "that helps me hang on" as Jimmy Buffet would say. So what say you. I would welcome all of your caffienated concoctions.
