Since that 2bbl was not likely calibrated for use with a higher performance Cam, all kinds of Operational issues can occur. Most are along the lines of Stumble and Bogs, due to the Idle and Off Idle Fuel Systems as well as the overall Fuel Delivery Curve, including when the Power Enrichment system turns on and off.
The Cam is certainly going to move the Powerband to a different Rpm Range, and that will affect low end Torque and Propping requirements, and also what the Max Rpm range needs to be.
