Here's 1997 26' Bayliner Ciera 2655, that is for sale. It has a running 350 and a good Merc outdrive. I want to know if this is something that can be repaired or just a waste of my time. Cost $2000 without the trailer.

Re: Can this be fixed????

Sure, it can be fixed. A lot of work, but it's just sculpture and carpentry and a lot of itchy grinding of fiberglass. Depending on your free time, wallet, and involvement, it might be a year-long job. But, if you get that restoration bug, it'll be a fun experience, too.

But, $2000 without the trailer? With that kind of damage? Personally, and no offense to the seller, but I'd laugh a lot, then take a breath and laugh some more. In this economy, there are plenty of floating 26 foot boats selling in that price range that just need a bit of engine work and some spit-polish.

Its not worth $10.00 without the trailer.

Well, if you wanted to pull the motor and sell it you might make a buck, that is if it runs.

Thanks, that's the response I was hoping for, because I'm the kind of person who will tackle anything but, I really didn't want to get over my head and needed someone to pop my bubble.
