Well, I'm back from the surgeon for the fourth time. To date, I've had chunks of skin removed from my back, arm, nose, cheek, shoulder, chest and forehead, 12 cuts in total. I don't know if it's age or what, but this time it's very uncomfortable. First time I've had to use the prescribed pain meds and I'll have a nice scar (about an inch and a half) on my forehead . Had a plastic surgeon do the work this time. I'll see next week how good his work is when the stitches come out. I suppose it's better than the alternative. I lost my Dad to melanoma and he was 5 years younger than I am now when he passed. They didn't pay much attention to moulds and sun exposure back then. Doctors have said that I probably did my damage when I was a teenager. Being a white skinned red haired Irish boy, the only way to tan in the summer was to get a good burn or two and then I was good for the rest of the summer. I'm paying for it now. WHO KNEW!!!!!
Now I wait for the biopsy results and the date of my next appointment to get a couple of moulds off my back. Who says I don't know how to have a good time.
