Thanks man... thinking a cool project....wonder how long it would take me to complete... Might be worth a shot... If anything.... I'd just get it stuck in my driveway and no way to get it to the water...lol

It would make a real expensive planter for the front yard

Thats why I decided to cut all measurements in half and go with a half sizer for one person... could load it on my 6' x 8' flatbed trailer if I need to :) .. I'm going to make a few other changes... going to make the hull as wide as the walkway around the outside instead of having the walkway hanging out over the side... I'm big on buoyancy since the canoe project :D ... I want it to float for sure :D Oh and i'm going to power it with either a trolling motor or an outboard havent decided... both have their advantages. Gonna leave the paddle wheel to trail in the water so it still looks like its powering the boat.

Why not chain or belt drive the paddle wheel off a 6-10hp Briggs or Honda? Probably Honda because Briggs' are noisy.
Eric

Yep this makes all the work worthwhile. As the story goes... they got up around 7 a.m. to go play in it and ended up with one man overboard covered head to toe in mud... got hosed down and reready to go just before church this morning. :D
