I've pulled my carb 50 times and have never had trouble getting it back on right. for some reason, I cannot get the choke switch to correctly meet up with the choke on the carb. Motor is a 1979 merc 402 40hp. Here is a pic of the choke switch and the choke plate itself. I dont know what part of them isn't lining up correctly, but if someone who had the same motor could post a pic of theirs that would be great.

the part with the big spring on it is the lever you can turn from the outside of the cowling. it has those 2 plastic tips on it that are supposed to catch with the 2 plastic tips on the choke plate and open/close it when turned left and right. please help! this is extremely frustrating.
