I guess this shows my age,but I remember using a carb cleaner that came with it's own parts basket in maybe half a gallon can. I have a 7.5 and 4.5 with carbs that need rebuilding, but when I went to the big auto parts store,no carb cleaner except 5 gal cans, on order only.OK what can I use instead.

Re: Carb cleaner

Buy spray cans - put parts in a clean coffee can and spray them well - let them soak in the can, then blow all the orfices out with the straw provided with the spray can. The straw gives a good strong high pressure stream to clean out the small openings.

I believe Advanced Auto or Autozone sells the Berryman's B-12 carb/parts cleaner in a 1 gallon can with the basket to hang your parts in. Good Luck!
