I am trading my pool table for a '85 glasstream b/r. It has a mercruiser 165 i/o and I was told that it needs a new carburetor.
The guy told me that his mechanic said the least expensive way to fix it would be to get a carb from a junk yard and that any ford or mercury carb would work. Additionally, he said a standard auto battery would work fine for the engine.
He also said that it is salt or fresh water compatible. I assume that this means it is a closed system.
Any knowledge about this would be welcomed.
