Is there any general maintenance that I should be doing to my carburetor? My engine runs fine and I dont really know jack about tuning carbs (grew up in the age of fuel injection). However, Im a fix it 'before' it fails kinda guy and want to do all I can to avoid any preventable problems. Thanks

Re: Carb Maintenance?

You maintain carbs by making sure you change your fuel filters, sounds basic, but that's really about it.

It doesn't hurt to spray carb cleaner in and around the air horn and keep the air bleeds clean, keep the linkage lubed up and sprayed down with a rust inhibitor.

With carbs if it is running good don't mess with it other than the filters and lube the linkage...;)
