Hi all. Its been a while since i posted here. I have an 88 mercruiser alph one 4.3L. I noticed last season that after shutting down the engine while on the lake, that in order to start it up, i had to open up the carb a bit as if it was flooding, then it would start and run smooth after about 15 seconds of having it reved up. I just broke it out of storage and got it cleaned up, started the moter and it ran good, but when i idle it down, it got rough and would die. I looked inside the carb after turning it off, and could see gas squirting into the carb atop the butterfly valves. I have a number from a small plate atop the carb and got these numbers from it:
MCM 175 and 3304-9565
Are these the numbers i need inorder to get a rebuild kit for the carb? If so, where is a good place to order a kit for it? If not, what do i need? I ha.ve rebuilt carbs on my bikes before, and on my older cars, so i am confident i can do this.
Thanks in advance for your help on this issue.

Re: Carb rebuild kit

THanks Guy. That looks like the one. Ill call on Monday to see if i can get it. It looks like it fits many different applications. I see my year and other info there
I have bought some parts from E Basic Power recently, fast shipping and good prices. The 3304-9565 is the carb number you need, this kit is the one I believe you need, check it out for yourself. http://bpi.ebasicpower.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=eBasicPower&Product_Code=MAL9-37612
