I picked up an old Glastron with a 90HP outboard Johnson from a co-worker. I have been able to the the motor to crank but it wont turn over. I have been told that the carbs probably need rebuilding. So far I have:
1. Replaced the spark plugs
2. Compression tested(all cylinders tested between 100-105 psi)
I have removed the carbs from the motor in an attempt to rebuild. Not sure if this is something I can do myself or I should take to the mechanic. I am mechanically inclined and do the majority of my car and motorcycle repairs myself, is this something I can tackle. If not, how much can I expect to pay a boat mechanic to rebuilt boat carbs?
