What is the product name? Also, I have carpet, glued to the fiberglass floor... How will a product like that stick? Clean the floor which is rough somewhat, may be a good idea to keep it rough for non slip.. but how to clean residue from glue to keep the coating sticking?

Anyone try this one yet?
Thanks

Try it on a test area before applying it to the deck. If it's an elastomeric (sp) roof coating it might not be a good choice for the deck since the finished product is rubbery and might not have good abrasion resistance.

I haven't personally used this stuff, but saw it in empty 5 gallon buckets left by a roof contractor. After it dried it was very flexible and soft. We peeled it out of 50 5 gallon buckets with little effort,,, not something I would want to put on a boat deck.

Re: carpet replacement

inside of plastic pail is very smooth not much to stick too but a rough fiberglass boat deck might offer good adhesion qualities especially if cleaned with lacquer thinner first

Re: carpet replacement

The inside of my old boat looks like somebody had previously painted it with garage floor paint. The type with multi-colored specs on it for texture. Its a base grey color with black, white, and gray stuff sprinkled all over it.

It probably looked good at one time. I'm getting ready to sand it all down and repaint this week. I carpeted the floor and looking to make the sides a solid color.
