Ok. After reading everybodies stories over he past year..I have to fess up to a series of unfortunate events. The company that I work for gives us a cell phone for when we are on the road...(boy I hope nobody from work reads this)

1st Death - Found new lab puppy using as a chew toy. Brought pieces into work in a plastic sandwich bag. Company replaced.

2nd Death - About a month later, found lab chewing on cell phone...lcd broken. Brought cell phone into work and told them that it got banged while at a store. Company replaced.

3rd Death - About 7 months later (Thursday), on boat in local lake. Company had just given me a new belt clip for cell phone...turned and heard a "plop". Looked and cell phone and new clip are gone. Ethan (Eggkr8) jumps in to look for it.. atleat 2 feet of silt on bottom...lost. Go into work and tell them this...they need to order a new phone so the give me the Owner of the company's favorite cell phone spare (they cant get the model anymore so they bought here this one in case something goes wrong this her first). $500 cell phone. Irreplaceable.

4th Death - (Sunday 3 days later) Sooooo.....went out on boat for a dive....while setting anchor, big lobster boat comes by..wake rocks my boat..I go overboard. I am not injured. Climb back onboard and realize that the belt clip is still on my belt but the cell phone is not. Look through everything onboard. No phone. Monday morning have to go into work a report cell phone lost (failed to mention that it was last at sea). They not happy. I offer to pay for cell phone...they say no, but I have to tell Company owner that I lost it. Later that week my new phone comes in. I stop using belt clips...phone is always deap in a coat pocket or pants pocket. SAFE.

5th Death - About a week later. Alittle chilly so I have my windbreaker on..cell phone in pocket of jacket. Going out on boat. Get to the ramp and nobody there....great. Get boat ready (5min) look back and 8 boats are now in line behind me. I am launching solo. I rush the launch...boat glides off trailer faster than normal..bowline tied to trailer is alittle too long...boat looks like it is gong to hit another boat at dock so I jump out of truck...run down dock..make a grab at boat...lose balance and go for a swim. Get boat secured. Hope in truck soaking wet...park truck and realize that new cell phone was in pocket...dead. Took out battery and left in truck to dry. Went for a great day on boat. At home, took apart phone...dried completely...cleaned with q-tip and rubbing alcohol..reassembled...still dead. Brought phone to work on monday and told them it dead (failed to mention why).

Now have a new phone...and the boating season is starting up again....wish it luck!!!
