Re: Century 3200 WA
Just got off the phone with Tommy Thompson (tech support at Century)...
The fix is to close the output valve, like I stated in my last post(macerator output). He says that this noise is coming from the vacuum break (upside down U in AC compartment). He also stated that you could change out this U with a new one and out of about 12 that 11 of them would squeel. It is air going out and making a whistle sound through the valve. He also stated that you could disassemble it and grease up the rubber part inside and it would get rid of the sound temporary, but it would come back.
So my point is a check valve in the line won't work. The flow would still be in the same direction as the check vavle.
I am now thinking about a 12 volt solenoid valve that would be normaly closed and would only open when 12 volts is applied. Conect the power from the macerator pump to the solenoid valve. Then the 12 volt valve would only open when the macerator is running.
