An alarm sounds whenever I reach cruising speed. It is coming from somewhere in the cabin. Anyone have the same problem? Any ideas what is causing the alarm?

Re: Century 3200 WA

I just purchased a 2002 3200WA... I am getting the same thing (I think) ... A loud squeel coming from inside the cabin while up on plane. I have isolated it to the thruhull valve for the waste tank. If I close the thruhull valve on the waste tank(macerator output), I don't get the squeel anymore. The actual noise sounds like it is coming from inside the Air Conditioner compartment right below the stairs. I am thinking about putting a one way check valve on the line going to the thruhull valve. I will let you know if it works...

Re: Century 3200 WA

Just got off the phone with Tommy Thompson (tech support at Century)...

The fix is to close the output valve, like I stated in my last post(macerator output). He says that this noise is coming from the vacuum break (upside down U in AC compartment). He also stated that you could change out this U with a new one and out of about 12 that 11 of them would squeel. It is air going out and making a whistle sound through the valve. He also stated that you could disassemble it and grease up the rubber part inside and it would get rid of the sound temporary, but it would come back.

So my point is a check valve in the line won't work. The flow would still be in the same direction as the check vavle.

I am now thinking about a 12 volt solenoid valve that would be normaly closed and would only open when 12 volts is applied. Conect the power from the macerator pump to the solenoid valve. Then the 12 volt valve would only open when the macerator is running.

Closing the seacock on the waste discharge works. Manipulating the Y-valve did not produce the same results but I am suspecting it is compromised and needs replacement.

Re: Century 3200 WA

I have a question for anyone who can help? I have a 2002 century 3200WA. It has a gas fill cap on port and starbord sides. Are there 2 separate tanks or is there one tank and two fill caps for convenience? I only have one gas guage on the dash electronics. Thanks.
