might be the cam shaft too. Replace the cam, intake, head, valves, carb, freeze plugs and you got yourself a marine engine! <br /><br />then again after replacing all of those parts, you might as well buy a new marine engine since the price would make up the difference:<br /><br />cam: $300.00<br />Valves: $150<br />head: $400-$500+<br />carb: $250<br />freeze plugs: $25.00<br />labor: $1500.00 or so<br /><br />then again, maybe all you need is the short block or the head, you would really need to price them out accurately and see if its worth it. It may or may not be. But if it is worth it, then jump all over it!
