Re: Coil outputs

go to this site, clik on parts, then 1993 then model #, then carborator,

if you pulled # 22 is the low speed jet, # 14 is the high speed jet, behind the bowl drain plug. if you messed with #23 it is set at the factory, if you messed with it there is a special procedure to get it back right.

22 and 14 are the ones to be cleared.

Re: Coil outputs

I pulled the jets out of the carb and cleaned them. I can see clearly thru them. I have not messed with the needle valve.

Re: Coil outputs

ok.. top cylinder : when running, I pull the plug, RPMs change.. SO believe I am getting fuel.

I disco'd the VRO pump a while back... There is a tan wire by the temp sensor that when grounded, alarm makes constant beep.. Since the lower unit was put back on, after the engine runs for a few minutes, I am getting a beep every other second.

Does this have to do with the VRO?

BTW, I just got the alarm working the other day (before I removed the LU tho) and did not have an alarm then.

Re: Coil outputs

Off to the lake! New coil put in. RPMS change when plug removed. Why on bottom plug removal does engine stall? THe middle and top only RPMs change.

Re: Coil outputs

YAY! Got passed 2500 RPM! New coil worked! Still wondering why 3rd cyl stalls when plug is removed.. Something to do with the AMOUNT of gas to that carb? Adjustment needed?

Re: Coil outputs

Go to faq section, read Joe Reeves carb adjustment, see if your carb falls into any of those catagories. Follow instructions to the letter
