OK....time to come clean......I was Mod2. We've been talking about this for some time and decided with the new board, we would also come out of hiding.....so to speak.

FYI Bob....LF's Mom's house sustained some pretty good flood damage. They are going to try and salvage the house since it's been in their family for many many years. I'm sure she will appreciate your concern.

I liked it better not knowing......I feel if people don't know who the mods are there is less issues regarding moderation............favortism can never be blamed for a descion as the mod is unknown.

What favortism you speak of PONY?:devil:
I cut no one no slack. If you bad, we get you.
But for the most part, it is for the other forums keeping things running smoothly and the other mods were having to log in and out for the 2 different people and I'm sure it was a headache sometimes.:'(

I speak of absolutely nothing in particualr.

Its hard to explain my reasoning in words, but its similar to how managers at a place of business dont associate with line level employees (usually) on a friendly basis.

This is the only board I've ever been on, that hid the moderator's identity. I really don't think it's necessary at all.

I understand what you are saying and let me go just a little farther.
As you can see at the top of any forum page, there are no names listed now as mods, that is because we all have the same power across the boards now.
Also you will noyice anything moved, edited etc will not have any mods name on it unless we want it there, so you see Mr. PONY, we get to do stuff and no one will know who dunnit. 8)

SBN said it all about logging in and out, trying to keep two windows open for both entities and screwing it up anyways. Several times I've forgotten to go back to OBJ and started posting again and find out I posted as Mod2 and not OBJ.....delete and start over. Big hassle.

I can see Pony's point of view. Made a lot of friends here that I hope to keep....only if it's only on the forums. If I have to moderate to keep the forums running smoothly and to the standards of iboats, I would hope that everyone understands it's nothing personnal, just "business".

I knew em, I just kept my mouth shut. Besides, it didn't bother me a bit knowing who they were/are. All of them are good people without a doubt,,,,,,,,,,,so are lots of other members as well............SS

Damit QC, I was going to wait to come out until after I get back from New York. .)

I have been moderating for iboats for a few years now and enjoy it. I also moderate at two other unrelated boards. For those of us that have remained anonymous all these years, it has been difficult to have to log out of our user names and log in as mods in order for us to do our job. This makes it much quicker for us.8)

I'm a fair minded person which is one of the reason iboats chose me. I have never shown bias or treated anyone any different from anyone else. To me you are all friends.

I hope the jokes, ribbing and fun that is aimed at me continues because I do have a great sense of humor and enjoy each and everyone of you. I know my jabs at y'all will continue.

I see nothing wrong. .the mods are here to help us and be our friends,spinner,jb,ladyfish,obj and the rest of them have helped me out and talked to me.if the mods come on out i'll talk to them like i've always done,it should'nt have any impact who the mods are all of them are doing a good job!by the way whens JB getting back?And OBJ i dont feel as bad now even the mods are having a little trouble with the new boardsbut its getting better.
