Re: concealed carry permit
Listen, i watched a guy qualify with a little kel-tec 380, so I'm not sweating the size thing.......just thinking about possibilities for holsters for you....so I was trying to do some research for ya and brought up a picture of that pistol. I was just commenting that I didn't realize it's true size.
As far as accuracy, all you need is to be able to hit a pie plate consistently at 7 yards preferably with your gun about belly height and in close to your body. If you shoot anyone farther away than a few feet, you are gonna have a real tough time explaining why. Most non-police shootings occur at under this range. What I practice is getting the gun into play quickly and retaining it when the BG is within arm's reach. Stuff happens a lot faster than you think when it happens and then reactions come into play. Plain and simple, your body goes into survival mode and it's not gonna do anything it hasn't been trained to do. You probably won't have time to bring your gun up and adopt a proper stance or achieve a sight picture. And you won't have time to rack the slide or any of that other crap. Carry locked and loaded, one in the pipe. All you shooting practice should include having to disengage the safety, if that's how you carry. Mine are all double action so I carry ready to roll, safety off, hammer down.
