Of course this is a very basic old dual control, I spent 2 days ( working on and off )to strip the 26 layers of paint off, they haveboth been stripped with sandpaper , orbital sander, and lastly a fine wire brush , (and then 600 grit :D ) one has primer drying, looks good so far, should be able to finish this tomorrow.... Hopefully.... Will post more pics... Lookin ok? Budget says paint, not replace, ive got the paint to spray after primer hardens...

Inside parts cleaned up great too, with the exception of the plastic centerpiece that seperates the two handles, it is cracked and brittle, gonna try to find something at home depot to fabricate a new one... Maybe a piece of polycarbonate... Thanks oops, It did take lots of prep, the reason being every single thread ive read emphasizes the importance of prep.... And the guys that prepped well ended up with a great paint job...

I know this is for my own amusement, but it actually took a bit of work to get the 30 or so coats of old paint off it... This is with a couple coats of good ole rustol' gloss white after the primer, and lots of sanding (i like perfection) the grey messed up part is just tape that was used for masking, the other grey (uicksilver) will get sprayed black tomorrow.... The 2nd pic is where a mother flippin gnat landed on my wet white paint...grr.. Gonna sand that out 2morrow too... I think its lookin good eh?
