Does anyone on this forum have any info on the cool fuel 3 issues of delaminating paint clogging and corroded water fittings.
Seeing my engines are off warranty I am looking for cheap fixes to resolve the issue.

Re: cool fuel 3

You have a pretty good/interesting conversation going on about this over on club sea ray with good info, and with this quote on post #29, (No - you will not see it - its after the filter - that is why its such a problem. To see it you need to remove the unit and take the fuel pump cover off - the inside of the cover is what flakes) .

Since you're out of warranty, Next I probably would just inquire about ordering a new fuel pump cover part number 892677 as long as i knew or found out the new cover comes unpainted.;)

See item number 9,

There's one on ebay for less money, I would date the box if possible though then investigate the time frame from painted to non painted.;)

Good luck.:)

Re: cool fuel 3

Apparently, from a dealer I talked to today, this problem rears its ugly head first with drivability issues and will plug up the regulator first with paint. An easy check.
I think my cheapest way out is to glassbead the paint off both of my covers.
The corrosion, leaking issue got answered as well. That the water fittings on my module are not standard threaded fittings, but some strange press in setup with an O ring. So some drilling and tapping is required there.
The dealer said it wasn't a recall because they really didn't see that many of them fail, and have never seen the paint get to the rail or injectors.
