Coolant coming out of sterndrive.

1984 Del Magic W/ 470 and Alpha 1 Gen 1 Sterndrive. When I put coolant in the engine it comes out of the sterndrive. So I change the exhaust riser gasket thinking it was leaking by there, no good. Then I opened up the heat exchanger and there was coolant on the tube side. So I then took it to a radiator shop to have it pressure tested and it's fine. The only other thing I CAN think of is the exhaust manifold.

Sure hope you had the proper gasket between the riser and manifold. If not, there's your answer.

Yes I posted it twice I didnt see the other one and I thought it had been deleted. My apologies..... Yes it is the right gasket. It is the one were there is vein holes in it for the coolant.

Ayuh,... I Think that's the Wrong 1....

With the closed cooling,... You should have a Block-off Plate,+ gaskets....

Make sure you have the PROPER OEM gasket with the proper openings in it. Then install it the correct way.
I have seen people try to make gaskets for the exhaust on the 470's and not know which holes to have open.

Sounds like leaking manifold.
