I have a 20ft Aluminum boat with a Suzuki 115hp 4 stroke.
When I purchased the boat - because I live at 3,050 ft and would be using the boat at that altitude - the dealer exchanged the prop to a 19" rather than the normal 21" pitch.
I had the boat out yesterday (for the first time this year
) with the normal load at WOT could only get 5,700 rpm (Suzuki 115 range 5,000 - 6,000). Is it worth experimenting with a different pitch prop to be able to use those extra 300 rpm?
Thank you !!
