Re: Covert Operation...

So I have been checking my fancy new Droid phone for an email from him all day. Just got one. He passed on the deal. I thought I may have had it too. He did say that he really wants to work wit me on this. Ah well. I did leave the door open telling him to get back with me if he reconsiders. He cam back once, he may get ahold of me again.

It was to big for me anyway.

Of course....

....had I got it.......

....it would have been juuuuuuusssst right!

Rock on!

Justifying a boat, such a tricky game. And yet so many ways to play it!

Hey, remember you have that $180ish fee with the Boat Angle people!

I think that fee is $169, plus the $10.00 for the boat, plus trailer tires, plus gas for 450 miles. It's adding up, but the boat is so cheap!

Hi my name is Don and I have a Starcraft problem.

The problem is I only have one Starcraft.:D

OK, so I changed up my trade offer a little on that 18' and shot off a super low cash offer on that closed bow 16'. No deal and no deal. No problem. I sure can justify spending a bunch on another rig right now anyway.

I am still thinking of that gutted SS with the junk trailer. The crux is really if I can coordinate a time to meet that fella.

Rock on!

Re: Covert Operation...

Never mind, it was a no go.

I checked this one this morning...
http://flint.craigslist.org/boa/1872911112.html

I saw many patches of Bondo, at least 3 layers of paint inside and out, a missing transom corner cap, mangled consoles, bad glass for the windshield, a lot of missing aluminum pieces, broken bow cap, a big chunk of aluminum rub rail track ripped off, trailer was for a 14' and had issues of it's own and other things (or course along with replacing all the wood and such).

On the positive, it would have been the perfect size for what I need!

When I started to add up the time, effort and money it would take to bring this one back I just couldn't pull the trigger on it. Bummer. I want to say that it was hard to walk away from a Starcraft, but, it wasn't really that hard to walk on this one.

Ah, well. I had fun with the boys on the trip and I am certain another will come along. I am in no rush!
