Re: Covert Operation...

Well I have to say that is exactly what I was hoping for...the ad was awfully vague. Just said 16 foot Starcraft:D

I love it, great boat right there:)

Except for that bow-mount troller...I can help get rid of that annoying thing for ya!:p

Get it...make a cash deposit and it's yours. If I live closer...I'd be happy to do it for you, just let me know.;)

EDIT...I am closer and it's near Duck Lake...not a bad tubing/skiing lake:D

Well the operation was gearing up but I am apparently too dumb and slow as it sold this morning. Rats, that seemed like a super deal!

Nah, he doesn't have it. He was actually helping me with my plot to capture.

Hmmmmm, or does he???

Nah, it's all good. Another will come along.

I am still considering that gutted 16 footer, I think he still has it. I really wish it had a reasonable trailer under her.

Rock on!

Trailer smailer, you can always find a trailer later. If the boat is what you want, get it.

I wish I could say that I bought it...could've stripped it of that Merc, the bow-mount troller, SuperSport logos that I'm missing, some dash panel trim pieces, possibly the trailer if the lights work...and then sold it to Jason:D

Next time I see one that's fire-sale priced like that one I'm buying it.

Yah, I would have bought it from you too buddy. Even with the middle man mark up!

So this one is right here in my back yard...

I'd have to cut it up to make it an open bow though, bummer. I don't think I could sell that motor for very much either. Huh.

A custom Jupiter center console river boat? I wonder how low he would go on that one. Getting close to nearly free.:D

Re: Covert Operation...

Ok, so I took a quick look at this rig this morning. It would be a total rebuild, no surprise there. It does have all the aluminum pieces and the windshield looks pretty good too. The rubrails are pretty chewed up and there is some dock rash/dents here and there. The trailer looks ok, good if it were set it up right. The motor was dragged on the driveway, busted up lower unit. He said he'd let it go for $350. If it were an open bow it would be in my drive right now. At this point I need to stew on it.

Oh, and yah. Just for fun I did make a trade offer on this one. He is thinking on it for now. If he takes the deal I'll:eek:

I'd pass on the little closed bow.

Yah, I think it needs to be closer to free if I have to do a big hack job on it. It is a nice rig with great lines. I think it would be a super rebuild if somebody was looking for a Jupiter!

Outboard?

Yup, here is the ad on this one...

http://saginaw.craigslist.org/bar/1901755146.html

I was working on a trade with him for a chain saw. We just about had something there but he didn't quite go for it.

Oh well, it was too big for me anyway.

I'm thinking of bidding on this one. My little 12 foot flatbotttom, plastic Coleman only holds two. I love that little boat, so quiet and close to the water. It needs to go though. I need a 14 foot Starcraft that will hold me, the wife and the boy.

Any ideas what model this is?

It's 450 miles roundtrip, and the trailer tires are dry rotted.:D Other than that it's perfect.

It's bad in a good way, or is it good in a bad way.

It's not that I want another boat, I need one. Does that justify it?

Oh man: Hi my names Don and I have a Starcraft problem.:D

Jason that boats going for $5.00 now, I can probably snipe it for like, .....$9.25. I can't say no to a bargain like that.;)

Justifying a boat, such a tricky game. And yet so many ways to play it!

Hey, remember you have that $180ish fee with the Boat Angle people!
