I see you have recruited people in the N.Detroit area already. Count me in, I'm going to get another SC also. Next year, a 14 footer, my mind is already preparing for it.

I'm in Roseville, you need any help just holler. I love covert ops, damn I can't fit into my fatigues anymore.

WOW broadcast. That's the way, my truck is too small to tow it or I would. I'll tag along if you truck it up to Midland. Saturday my wife works, and I'm on my own.

I got some cash if needed. Maybe I can borrow my brothers F-150 and truck it up for Jas.

Let me know. Saturday I have my 6 year old, that's the only rub. He's a trooper though, he'll get into it.

I bought my boat on a Saturday. Didn't tell the wife anything. She calls into work that day, she NEVER misses work. I snuck off with my brother and slinked home with the Offshore. Her first glimpse of the boat was as it went past the kitchen window.

You guys crack me up. But these boats are addicting thats for sure. Here I am working on my 14ft Falcon and I see all your guys 18's and am thinking I need to get me one of those..... before this one is even half done. And Im pretty sure my wife would kill me, but then it wouldnt be the first... or last time I got that, "what the hell is that thing" look from her.

I just got an Oodle alert about an 18' Offshore, 1969. I/O, $700. In Illinois.

This could be bad.

You sold the Falcon, or another boat?

The Offshore is a nice deep manly V. Five chines for manly ruff waters, Pirates fear them.

A couple weeks before I bought the Falcon I drove all the way to Baldwin (1hr+ drive for me) to pick up a 16ft Cadillac for $200. Called the guy before I left in the morning and told him I was one my way and he said he was holding it till I got there. Called him when I was 5 minutes out and he tells me. "oh someone is pulling out of the driveway with it right now, you might see it drive pass you". I didnt go to his house for fear of ending up in jail. But, if it hadnt been for that I would have never found my purty Starcraft.

I can't stay up any longer. I was giving a breathing treatment to my son at 3:30 last night and didn't get back to sleep.

My son is asleep, my wife's at work, and no boat for Jas. Night, night. I'll check in the morning for an update.

No No, still have the Falcon. Heres the story... might get long.

This winter my wife was out running around, Im home with the kids. Scanning Craigs when I see this 14ft Alumacraft tiny with a 4hp Chrysler motor that wasnt running for $200. Pack the kids up and we head out, wife thinks we are home getting dinner ready. Coming down the road when the wife calls, shes in the driveway and wondering where Im at, she still has phone in hand when I start backing in with this boat hanging out the back of my truck..... GOT THE LOOK. Got motor running, did nothing to the boat, bought a trailer for it. So there is one boat in the garage.

Found the Falcon on Craigs which I traded for a compound bow that I had $350 into. Brought that home..... GOT THE LOOK.

Switched trailers on the two boats since I had the other one all painted up already. Sold the Alumacraft for $300 today, sold the trailer that was under the Falcon for $250 yesterday, still have the 4hp for sale. By the time all is said and done I should be pretty close to having the Falcon fixed up and running for free.

not to steal this thread but whats the diff between an ss and an offshore ?? or are you just calling your ss an offshore ??
