I currently have another thread going, but this post may or maynot having thing to do with my recent discovery tonight. I have a 1989 V6 4.3L mercruiser I removed the exhaust manifold on the left side of the engine if you are looking at the engine from inside the boat, I was just inspecting it trying to figure out if thats how water was getting into my oil, I am not even sure what to look for on the manifold? but none the less this post has to do with what appears to be a crack on the block, about an inch and a half long, just below where the middle spark plug is, and above the oil dipstick where it connects to the block.. one side of it is raised a bit higher than the other side of what looks like a crack, its rusty and appears water has been seeeping out of the crack area??? does this make sense to anyone? Thanks for the help in advanced!
