Well I finally did it; busted up a prop. Guess I'm a full fledged boater now. Beached the pontoon boat so the grandkids could go swimming. When I tried to pull off, we were too heavy, so I had everyone go aft to lighten the pontoons at the bow. Backed over a rock that I had cruised right over on the way in. All's well that end well; boat was overpropped anyway. Guys at marine center in Vegas had props and changed it out no charge. They had a new one they had for 3 years and offered to charge the 3 year old price. Wow, an honest boat dealer! When I got there they had found a reconditioned prop for a lot less and I can exchange it if it isn't right. I'm thinking this one will be fine, as they all seemed to be quite experienced.
