OK,

Here is a little update and I hope this yeilds some info. I called the shops around here, everyone is 8-10 weeks behind. I got one to loan me the DVA voltage adaptor so I could do some testing.

I redid all of these tests.

http://www.boatpartstore.com/page30.asp

Here is what I found.

2. no spark
3. no spark
4. Stator resistance is 633
5. DVA out from stator was 17.51????????????????????????????????
6. 11.7 and 11.8 for the timer base resistance.
7. DVA output from timerbase was .746 (1-3) and .684 (2-4)

So what does that tell me? bad stator?
With results that you posted, if it were me, I'd change the stator. Did you happen to check voltage on the yellow alternator wires? That would also lead you towards a bad stator.

Re: Cyl #4 not firing

Well,

Here is another update.

Replaced the stator and still no spark on any cylinder. Have been through everything many times.

Broke down and took it to the shop.... going to cost a fortune, but at this point I am out options. The only thing that I have not replaced is the timer base.

What are the chances that the timer base is the issue??

Thanks everyone!
