While camping/boating at Lake Patagonia we were raided by 6 raccoons in one night. They stole about $20 worth of food from us. We took our revenge the following night. No raccoons were harmed. We just wanted to make them afraid of humans as they should be for their safety. Enjoy and please excuse the drunken commentary.

How in the hell do you hog tie a racoon!

Very, Very, carefully :p

That type of trap works on Squirrels too, just use some peanuts for bait. Caught a few this summer to prove to the kids it could be done.

Didn't have the balls to reach in a grab it though. :D

Creative trap. What did you do with him?

We just gave him a good scare and sent him on his way. We werent looking to hurt him just give him a good reason to fear humans.

As we lifted up the front end of the trap he tried to crawl under. We then pinned him to the ground with the front 1/3 of his body exposed. I then grabbed him around the neck and dragged him out while my other buddies held on to his legs and hogtied him. He struggled for a bit, but was then too exhausted to fight back.

I done that before. 'Here, hold my beer, ya'll watch this'.

We bought our first motor home on Halloween 4 years ago. We took it to a local lake the next weekend. We were overrun by coons at night. They even started the generator on my neighbors diesel pusher. Obviously couldn't leave food or trash out.

when we were kids we were traveling thru Florida tent camping and we came accross a truck farmer selling watermelons 5 for $1. We ate one and for some strange reason set the rest on the picnic table for the night. about midnight we awoke to the sound of 30 to 40 raccoons dragging off the melons and fighting over them until sun up.
