Thats kinda what I thought....not enough IMO.. go out 5-6" around your stringers...

minor update. installed the transom.
wrapped transom in layer of CSM 450g/sqm.
3 layers of glass between the transom and the hull skin.
1 CSM,1 roving and another CSM to finish.
bolted transom to hull skin with 7 off countersunk head bolts.
filleted the transom all around the edges with resin, milled fibres and chopped strands mix.
glassed over with layer of roving and tabbed to hull.

That does not look like roving woving to me..looks like finish cloth..ahem..

Id like to see more tabbing on the hull myself..

Been following along here, looks like good progress. One thing though, I recommend you not discount what the Yacht Dr. has stated above. I agree that you are a bit shy on tabbing. I would go over the corners of the transom all around with 12 inches of glass. (6 inches on the trans, 6 inches on the hull) I would also widen the glass around the stringers/ stiffeners in the hull bottom. Remember poly needs good surface area to get a good bond. Things are going to flex, don't want anything popping loose. What seems solid may not be so in heavy seas or over big wakes. Its just an opinion, but I would do it now while everything is still apart.

Everything else looks very good.

i am going to take the dr's advice and tab more on my stringers, and i will tab more on my transom too drewpster. thanks as always!
the website says the woven roving is woven roving, so thats good enough for me!

cut out my knee supports.

two pieces of 18mm ext ply stuck together with titebond III, same as my transom

another layer of csm added to transom 600g/sqm this time. heavy matt.

this shows that the titebond III stuck my 2 pieces of ply together well.

knee supports in and filleted / bedded in with resin/talc/fibres mix.

how could i best seal the inside of the holes. the bolts are under the waterline.

Why would you ship over seas for a tube of 5200 .

I would seal the holes with penitrating epoxy and then some 4200 or 5200 Fast cure !

The regular stuff will just drain and take forever to cure....

sorry dr im not following. what is 'penetrating' epoxy. is it just epoxy resin? can i use poly?

then 5200 when the resin dries?
