Do I need to charge my two 6v bank as 1 12v?

Thanks for looking.

Just installed the ProMariner 20 Plus (20amp x 3 outputs)

I have a 12v marine cranking and two 6v deep cycles (golf cart batteries) wired in series.

My question is:

Does it mater to the charger how many volts the battery is?

i.e. Do I have to attach the shore power charger to the dual 6v as a single 12v battery? Or can I assign each of three charger outputs to individual batteries? (although 1 battery is 12v and 2 batteries are 6v)

Thanks in advance for any input.

The charger sees them as one 12 volt battery.i.e.

Using that charger the 6V batteries must be treated as one 12V battery. Since you are going to wind up with an extra set of leads from the charger and they must be terminated, connect them to the two 6V batteries too.

Just to make sure you understand this, ONE set of outputs from the outputs from the charger must be connected as follows: The NEGATIVE lead from the charger goes to the negative post on the battery on which the ground for the system is attached. The POSITIVE lead from the charger goes to the POSITIVE post on the OTHER battery. DO NOT CONNECT ONE SET OF OUTPUTS TO EACH BATTERY. The outputs from the charger are 12 volts and the batteries are 6 volts. You can however parallel two outputs from the charger connecting both outputs the same way you would do just one. The third output can go to the start battery.
