Just wondering does your boat do this. Somtimes last week when I was pulling the tube with my boat and going around corners it would sound almost like its bogging down( engine sounds louder but doesnt go any faster) is this normal because I am pulling somthing or was I going to fast? It almost sounded like if i keep turning it would get louder and louder. Let me know if this is comman or what might be wrong. Only did it once that day and then I slowed down. check out the vid and he gets broke at the end haha

Based on description it sounds like cavitation to me (prop is catching air)....try trimming down to get the prop lower in the water. Happens to me too in my Sea Ray 185 during tight turns.

I watched the video and didn't see or hear anything abnormal. At what time in the vid does this happen?

You have probably just ventilated the prop, like was stated earlier. Make sure you are all the way trimmed down. This usually happens when making very tight turns at speed, which some folks do pulling the tube. It didn't really look like you were too extreme in the video.

Son of a gun I almost puked after watching that! :) All that bouncy camera control made me a little sea sick at my desk. Looks like an awesome time was had by all.

This video is very good around 2:38. Haha.
I know what sound you are talking about around turns, and Im pretty sure its normal. At least I hope it is because it happends around every sharp turn in our boat as well. No worries I would say.
Im not sure if its the intake, or the exhaust, but if you watch the stern of your boat when turning tight its much higher out of the water then when going straight. Something to do with that, but nothing big.

Post more videos of the people inside the boat when you get a chance. ;)

my boat does the same thing.....sometimes I'll give it more throttle in a deep turn to compensate, depending on who is on the tube and what i think they deserve...haha. but ya, mine does bog down as well on sharp turns

You described it as "bogging down" and I didn't hear anything that sounded like ventilation/cavitation which would allow the RPM's to increase as the boat speed decreased. My first impression, given all the wind noise on the video, is a carburetor float level problem assuming your 4.3 has a carb. Had a car that would stumble when I made a sharp right turn. It was the float. Good luck!

keep your hand on the throttle on turns and lower speed when you cavitate, since you are effectively spinning in air at high RPM's. But unles you do it constantly you won't harm your motor from the occasional spike.

Sometimes on a sharp turn, the tube itself tries to plow under the water a bit.

As you can imagine, this creates an incredible drag on the boat. The boat bogs down under this stress.

What I do, is slow down thru about 180 degrees of the turn, then (as your wake catches up to the tubers) GUN IT!!

This flings the tubers up over your own wake.

Hilarity ensues.

the deep bog sound happens to our boat usually after a skier or boarder is down and we make a sharp turn to go get them. there has been no problems so far. i dont think its a float problem.....but thats for you to decide.

ill be looking forward to new videos :p
ps. does your girl have friends? and do you mind if I tag along?
