Well it appears the big bend area of Texas is right in the path of now Hurrican Dolly. Wind speed has increased to 75 mph officially making the storm a hurricane. The projected path is to come ashore at the Texas Mexican border and to proceed on more of a Westerly direction. Good luck all.

Hope it pushes some rain up here, and does no damage there.

Its nothing to worry about. A bunch of rain with some wind gusts in it.

It won't do much but blow over a tree or two. And that in Mexico! LOL

I thought you meant Dolly Parton.

On a serious note, it is the storm surge that always bothered me, not the wind. They just said it could be as much as three or four meters. Sounded a bit much for a category 1 storm.

Best wishes for everyone in Dolly's path. I'm sure everyone on this board who lives in that area has taken all precautions.

Re: Dolly's coming

Thanks y'all. We went through the normal preparations here at home, and I had to ready the staff and children at work just in case of an evacuation (200 all total) but we were far enough away not to have to put our plans into action.

She passed south of us and other than high winds, high tides and some rain bands, we're safe. My prayers go out to those in far South Texas, they have been severely affected.
