Just picked up this boat and never worked on a suzuki before, Boat sat for fourteen years, I hooked up the gas and fired her up, pop and run for 2 secoonds, die, tons of fuel running out of a little hole at the top of the carb when I pump the bulb, so much that the motor went up in flames and lit the ground on fire, it was quite a show!, anyway i was quick with the extinguisher and no harm done, but before I give it another try I figure I should ask you guys about the fuel leaking out , and give you a laugh. Help would be appreciated, thanks Pics below

"Hose go here?" is a bowl drain outlet that should (might)flow as the big screw nearby is backed out.

The leak is the bowl vent. That says the needle valve is not sealing.

The carbs may need professional service before you continue.

you should have just left it burning .... lol, just jokes ....... working on a suzuki is fairly easy ....... where did the open flame come from to light the fuel in the first place? ...... first of all I would clean the whole motor seeing that is is full of the white powder from the fire-extinguisher, then replace the spark plugs and take those carbs off and clean them properly with rebuilding kits ..... then chance the impeller and the gearbox oil .... also make sure all battery connectors are still fine and not corroded too much ......

Thanks for the reply guys, I put the carbs back together today, put them on the motor, and it fired right up no fuel leaking out of he hole, if igured out pretty quick that the problem was the gooey old fuel gumming up the floats and everything else. Any good sources for parts for this motor, I'd liek to go throught them again with a kit.
