I'm certainly no expert rcupp. But I spent a good part of my life on the Yukon, and I know advertisements when I read them. The report would've been a lot better as an accomplishment for the E-TEC by some average person, rather than a show of superiority over the already proven outboards that work there by someone with connections with Bombardier.

You can take whatever I say however you want. If you want to believe all the hype these dealers post here, then be my guest.maybe Forktail would like to test one he is a expert on all engines!!!!!!!!!!
I understand what you're saying 101. Trouble is you're already assuming the E-TEC is as reliable and durable as other proven outboards. And you're assuming it burns half the fuel.

When the E-TEC's prove to be reliable, and they do it burning half the fuel of the others, then I'll begin to raise my interest. Until then, as new technology introduced by a new outboard manufacture, I'll wait and see.Tell you what Forktail...if you can run on the Yukon on half the fuel of the others and still be reliable, you have a big advantage over the others.
