Sorry pics are out of order and I didn’t include the idle info when I was at idle on the throttle - I’ve attached. The 950 shows “desired idle speed” when I bumped the throttle to 1500 rpms. Not sure why that would be higher when the throttle is bumped. Would think desired idle would always be 600?
Recently replaced the fuel pump with a paint less refurbished assembly and have 50psi on rail and 8psi on low side.
Problem has been ongoing for as long as I can remember (I’ve had the boat for 4 years) but seems to be getting a bit worse every year. Besides the cold start, motor runs great and no issue on starts once it’s warmed up. WOT 4800 rpm at 42mph- 4 blade prop. Gets up on plane super quick with 2 people and my 100lb ridgeback, 3/4 tank of fuel. 24’ Deck boat btw about 5000lbs.
Issue is… every time I get to the boat and fire it up cold, I crank in neutral, it fires up and idles down and stalls, 2nd time same issue… normally the 3rd time it’ll stay running, lately sometimes it takes a 4th attempt. If i put it in fast idle and start it, she’ll fire right up and stay running as long as I don’t bring the throttle back down to idle too quickly and let her warm up a bit. Not a big issue but it just doesn’t seem right and I want it right. Could it be a leaking injector causing a flooding condition?
