Hello Guys,
Yesterday I needed a tow as my 4.3LX V6 inboard dropped its oil filter and oil all over the bilge
This time I was lucky, in that i was in a safe place on a river, could anchor up and wait for a tow home. The boat is way too heavy for oars, especially with current flow.
It got me thinking that I want to carry a second hand steerable power source that I could take out of the cuddy, fit to some bracketry, couple up a fuel line and slowly move back to safety.
Has anyone ever seen a secondary outboard motor fitted to a Bayliner 2052? Any suggestions on mounting? I have a swim platform that is about 18" that overhangs the transom.
As always.. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Many thanks.. Steve.
