Hello, I wanted to ask whether from your nations, run the washing for the winter with oil emulsion. The oil protects the circuit from oxide during the period of stop engine.

Re: emulsion oil Washing

why burn?
because most outboard pumps are NOT self priming.
if the impeller is dry and NOT submerged in water, the one in the above pic is not, they tend to fry before pulling water.
its something I see lot of in this area.
I have 1 customer with a 9.9 thats burned 3 in the past year or so. he keeps trying to run it in a 5 gallon bucket.
then he gets mad cause its not a warrenty covered item.
so unless you can submerge the water pump in the bucket I wont reccomend the bucket method. then ya have to worry about the exhaust blowing the water out of the bucket :).

Quite right, but the level in the barrel was dropped before a full, and the engine light was consumed by water. My question was another one, you use this practice?

Sorry ISLA, don't understand your question. Are you asking if we put oil into the water that is pumped through the motor for winter storage?

Never heard of anything like that. There is a solution and kits for removing salt. You need to fog the engine if you are worried about corrision.
