1978 Johnson 55hp. Appear to have an aftermarket wiring harness that looks to be in good shape except for the pins on the main connector / plug on the engine side. I was able to "disassemble" the plug remove the female cap and adhesive holding the pins in, remove them and clean all the pins.
Now I want to glue the pins back to the rubber base. Anybody done this before? I don't think silicone will hold pins good. I have been trying to think of a good glue / sealer. I wanted to try some 3M stuff I had but it doesn't seem to cure when it is real thick. Ideas?
