Re: Everyone should read this about sea foam
I first heard about sea foam in 1973 when I got out of the Army. A friends father had been using it for years and swore by it. I have used it since and has caused no problems that I am aware of. I have added it to chain saws, chippers, lawn mowers, outboards, snow blowers, trimmers, leaf blowers etc. and since I am not very anal at keeping the maintainance up it seems to help.
I am using a snowblower my dad had from around 1983(2 cycle) that I use and other than putting sea foam in the gas it always starts.(spark plugs also)
My wife added non sea foam treated gas to our chipper last year without my knowledge and when I tried to use this summer would not start. I drained the gas line to the carb and also the tank. Sprayed a bit of deep creep into carb, new gas treated with sea foam and pulled spark plug to clean and regap, and it started on the second pull.
Until someone proves it is a waste of time I will continue to use.(also use on my vehicles periodically both in the crankcase and fuel tank. My daughters 1995 spirit had a bad head gasket and the person who replaced was surprised how clean the internal parts were. 170,000 and going strong.)
