The PO was driving it around with for sure one of the plugs open. This confirms the story that when the owner was driving this boat it was dumping water in the hull
So what type of coupling is from the motor to the jet drive ? I have the motor mounts backed off and the some wiring disconnected. Just waiting on some help to pull the motor to bring it up to the garage. Working outside in the cold sucks
Spline on pump shaft.-----Nothing to disconnect.-----You have to hope that no water got in there to jam the splines with rust.----Inspect / check pump gear box for water before spending any beer tokens,
Took the boat out for a drive to let the water drain out of it. I noticed that water looked like it was draining out around the jet pump and the intake grate is missing
Removed the flywheel tonight, put the new bearings in the hubs and reassembled but found some bad issues that might be game ending
When water was draining out of the boat it was comming out around the jet pump I thought it needed to be resealed, looked under and no intake grate hummm weird
Noticed this tonight
Contact----evinrudeparts.ca----A new crank is available now for a mere $235 as the factory wants to clear them out.------Used to be around $1500 or more.
