I have a evinrude 60hp 3cyl 1995.
Model no BE60TLEOC
Not had the engine very long, so far it runs like a dream.
I Just got the original tacho and a few other bits from the owner who said it all works ok.
I cannot fire the engine up at the moment due to not being near a water supply.
When i turn on the ignition i dont see any movement in the tacho ? it dont even go to zero it
just stays pretty much at the bottom. Is this normal ?
The battery is well charged up and there is plenty of power to the engine.
the electric fuel enrichment works with a nice loud click, the power trim goes up and down as well
so its not low on power ar anything like that.
I do NOT hear any warning bleep from the remote box neither, but been told on another posting that this
could be due a failed/broken warning horn ?
Do the tacho's on these engines not do anything at all untill the engine is running ? or should it move a touch ?
By the way I have disconnected the wiring for the VRO would this cause any problems ?
advice on this would be good.
