Re: Extended Warranty.

anyone ever heard of the bathtub curve. it's a chart that shows the failure rate of almost anything. meaning most problems occur in a products infancy and at the end of it's expected life. the extended warranty covers the time in the middle. in other words the time that odds are no problems will occur.most extended warranties are a rippoff.

Re: Extended Warranty.

I bought the extender warranty on my 2005 Trail Blazer ls when i took her off the lot. It cost me 400$. The first 100$ comes out of my pocket then they pick up the rest. It has paid for itself. My repair bill has been about 5,000$ so far and i have paid 300$ plus my 400$.

I have always thought that when they say 100,000 mile warranty meant until the speedo reached that point, The fine print say 100,000 miles or 48 months which ever comes first. I have 68,000miles on it but my four years is up in Dec.

The Gray ghost is paid for now. If the repair bill goes over 800 a month then i will maybe buy a new one. Thats what my payment was. Hopefully i will have only minor repairs like brakes etc..

I have always looked to buy a new one after mine was paid off in the past. Not this time, i am lookn for a new boat instead. I just can't stand not to have some kind of payment. i will learn one of these days. I only used my boat a few times this btw.. I told my wife that a 15,000 for a boat is not as bad as a 42,000 SUV.
If you are married you can imagine the look i got
