anyone ever heard of the bathtub curve. it's a chart that shows the failure rate of almost anything. meaning most problems occur in a products infancy and at the end of it's expected life. the extended warranty covers the time in the middle. in other words the time that odds are no problems will occur.most extended warranties are a rippoff.
