I have a 2008 EZ Loader aluminum trailer that gets quite a bit of use in Florida lakes but hasn't seen salt water. One of the bunks has rotted out from the inside in just three years of use from new. Shouldn't the wood be treated to at least withstand 5 years of use or better? I need to replace both bunks since the warranty from EZ-Loader only lasts for 2 years from purchase. How many years have y'all gotten out of carpet covered wooden bunks in lake water?
We do a lot of boating so the trailer has had a lot of "dunk" cycles during the three years we've had it. I'd guesstimate at least 250-300 times since we are out on the water a lot.
