Re: failing power packs

on mine i disconnected that wire at the key switch and at the main harness plug at the engine and with the key off there is nothing but with the key on i have 50 mv which trickles down to about5 mv. i ohm checked that wire with the rest of them in the main cable and its not shorted to any other wire. i was wondering if its just voltage being induced by the other wires in the loom being so close. any thoughts?

troy

Did you check that black/yellow wire for voltage as I mentioned above in my previous reply?

For what ever it's worth.. It took me 2 PPk's to want to replace the entire ingition system to a GM automotive one. Parts are cheap and available everwhere. No proven prototype yet however I'm working on it. I'm not big on spending big $$$'s on parts that continually fail. Disclaimer: I may be insain so don't sell the farm yet.

It would be nice to obtain an answer once in awhile. I think I'll abandon this thread. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.
